...International Muslims Organisation...

France...

The IMO in France has only recently been established in Paris.  The Shaykhs and scholars of the IMO have had a deep rooted association with many mosques and Islamic centres in France over the last twenty years.  They have travelled across France to address audiences on pertinent topics.  However, the decision to formally establish the IMO has only been taken recently.

The IMO in France is supported by a network of Mureeds of the Naqshbandi Hijazi Sufi Order.  Since it is in the embryonic stages, its members are working diligently to build an efficacious organisational infrastructure that delivers the IMO’s global message.  It is also working towards formalising its links with local organisations and forging new partnerships and affiliations.

The way forward ...

France has been at the centre of two world wars simply as a result of it being the largest mass of land in the middle of the continent. Its people have born the brunt of aggression and have had to experienced occupation along with having an elaborate underground resistance movement. Such determination witnesses France standing against the Gulf War on the principle that aggression and military force cannot be the answer to international issues.

The France of today is experience state controlled secularisation of religions and cultures. This great desire to remain neutral, fair and even handed has perhaps extended itself a lot further then envisaged or indeed planned.  The people of France are showing signs that they may well be diminishing in their affinity with the state. A state that once delivered a republic and rights to the common man.

IMO will continue to educate Muslims to asset a strong Muslim identity whilst helping the state to learn what strengths this presents to them as a result.

The state of France through its Government genuinely feels that it is leading and extending a modern secular philosophy. IMO will campaign to demonstrate how this has actually become a new religion and there is no compromise or change being considered by the state. For those that promote liberalism, such attitudes and actions would be considered those practices by bigots.

IMO will work with the French state to enable an understanding that such intolerance has no place in a free and fair society.

IMO will campaign against the principles that there may be intolerance and a lack of freedom of the individual. This is especially in light of the guiding principles of the republic and the renaissance.
