Malaysia...

The IMO branch in Malaysia has only been established recently and is as yet at an embryonic stage.  The vice President of the IMO, Hazrat Pir Noorul Aqtab Siddiqi has toured Malaysia on a number of occasions.  During his travels, IMO has established links with a large number of local organisations and government institutions.  He has also conducted a number of public lectures on various issues pertinent to the large and diverse Malaysian Muslim community. 

The way forward ...

Malaysia is widely recognised among other Muslim nations and world wide as a conscientious nation.  It has made great strides in developing its people and its resources to create a prosperous community firmly connected to their creed.  However, the integration of its various ethnicities has been more of a challenge.  IMO hopes to contribute its extensive experience with diverse multiethnic nations to foster dialogue and affinity between these different communities.  The establishment of a common Muslim identity which transcends ethnic differences will facilitate stronger ties and greater harmony between the ethnic groups.
