On around early January
1993 Hazrat Sahib (RA) was diagnosed with colangio carcinoma, which
is the cancer of the liver and the bile duct. The surgeons decided to
operate quickly, in order to try to remove the affected parts of the
liver. A few weeks later the operation did take place. Thousands of
people prayed for the long life of Hazrat Sahib (RA). On the day of
the operation itself a few hundred people had gathered and were all
stationed on the ground floor waiting for news of the successful operation
and continued to do Du'a for Hazrat Sahib (RA). On the fourth floor,
of the hospital building was situated the intensive care room, which
the Doctors had said that would be the resting place for Hazrat Sahib
(RA) once he had come out of the operation theatre on the fifth floor.
Outside of this intensive care room approximately seventy close family
members and Khulafa had gathered in order to await the arrival of Hazrat
Sahib (RA) after his operation. A few hours later the Doctors brought
Hazrat Sahib (RA) to the intensive care unit and I tried to enter the
I.T.U. room with Hazrat Sahib (RA) to stand at his bedside. The Doctors
prohibited me from doing this as they said that they would need at least
fifteen to twenty minutes to try settle him after the operation. They
said that if I waited outside of the door where the other seventy people
were standing, then they will come out and ask me and another next of
kin to come and see Hazrat Sahib (RA). Understanding the nature and
sensitivity of the Doctor's work, I agreed and went back to where the
other people were standing outside the only door to this room. Approximately
fifty minutes passed and there was no sign from the Doctors, at which
stage I started getting worried that something might be complicating
Hazrat Sahib's (RA) stabilization and therefore I should inquire what
the current situation is. In my worry I opened the door of the I.T.U.
room and summoned one of the Doctors, who were standing next to Hazrat
Sahib (RA) from a distance. The Doctor came out and asked me what the
problem was. I asked the Doctor that he had promised me approximately
fifty minutes ago, that he would come and fetch me and another next
of kin, so that we can see for ourselves Hazrat Sahib's (RA) current
position and spend some time with him. The Doctor in a very surprising
tone said that two gentlemen in white clothes had already been inside
the intensive care unit and had already spend five to ten minutes with
him, and upon questioning who they were, said that they were his next
of kin. Shocked at the doctor's response I started to question the doctors
as to what these two gentlemen looked like, and he said that they were
two elderly gentlemen; with white beards; and white clothing; and were
fairly tall; and they stood by his bedside towards the feet, for approximately
ten minutes and had left. They had said nothing more than the fact that
they were his next of kin. I assured the doctors that no such gentlemen
had been with us outside at any stage, and none had passed through the
only doors to this intensive care unit. How is it then that the Doctors
have made up this apparition of two men claiming to be Hazrat Sahib's
(RA) next of kin. The doctors thought that I was mocking them and he
went inside the intensive care unit and brought out two nurses who also
gave evidence to the same testimony. Upon Hazrat Sahib (RA) waking up
I asked him who those two gentlemen might have been, and Hazrat Sahib
(RA) responded that one of them was his father and the other was his
fifth grandfather Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Muhiyuddin Daimul Huzoori Qusoori
(RA). This evidence of the doctors was heard by all the seventy people
that had gathered outside the intensive care unit.
It was from this moment of the operation to Hazrat Sahib (RA) actual day of demise, that I personally witnessed at least forty Jami Karamat (Great miracles) as expressed in Hazrat Sahib's (RA) conduct. Very soon after the operation Hazrat Sahib (RA) told me a dream in which he had said that he had seen in the skies; a number of name plates of all the people who were going to die. He said some of the plates were empty and that either some of those names were erased or yet to be filled. Hazrat Saheb said that he did not see his own name on any of those plates. Clearly Hazrat Sahib (RA) was saying that he was not going to die in the near future. This dream was in direct contradiction to what the doctors had said after the operation. The Doctors had found that the cancer had spread throughout the body, and that it would only be a matter of weeks before Hazrat Sahib (RA) would pass away. In the final instance we realized that science only guesses with what might happen to the human body, but Allah Almighty actually knows, and he may tell some of his servants as to the realities of the coming and going of people from this world. A week after the operation Hazrat Sahib (RA) instructed me that I should make arrangements for him to go to Umrah. I asked Hazrat Sahib (RA) how this would be possible as the Hajj season had already started and Umra visas would not be possible anymore. Nevertheless he instructed me to make arrangements as he said that he wanted to go to Medina tul Munnawara. Given the difficulties of obtaining an visa, during the Hajj season, I approached Doctor Mughramul Ghamdi the then Director of the Islamic Cultural Centre and told him the whole position and that it was Hazrat Sahib's (RA) desire to want to go to Umra. I left with him my passport and Hazrat Sahib's and my mother's passport, thinking that he had kept them out of courtesy, but would not be able to accomplish what was being asked. Two days later he rang me himself, telling me that I could come and collect all the three passports, as he already had obtained the Umra visas by special concession of the Saudi ambassador. I was very grateful to Dr. Ghamdi for undertaking what he did, but in my heart I knew that those who are friends of Allah get their work done and knew that anything can be done when they instruct that it should undertaken. I undertook that Umra journey with Hazrat Sahib (RA) to Madina Sharif and when Hazrat Sahib (RA) left the airport at Heathrow he was on the wheelchair. This was because half the wound which was at least sixteen and seventeen inches wide, was still open, but Hazrat Sahib (RA) did not want to delay his trip to Umra. We landed at Jeddah airport and I assumed that we would make way to Umra first in Makkah tul Mukkarma. Hazrat Sahib (ra) instructed me that we should take the next flight to Madina tul Munawarah and visit the holy Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him first. I made the appropriate arrangements and Hazrat Sahib (RA) was brought on to the aero plane by his wheelchair on the final leg of this trip. As soon as the plane landed in Madina tul Munawarah airport, I got up to take the wheelchair to open it, to allow Hazrat Sahib (RA) to sit in it, so that I can assist him to alight from the aeroplane. He raised his hand stating that here he did not need the wheelchair anymore. I was shocked at this as he was still very fragile from the operation, and half the wound was still open. Hazrat Sahib (RA) narrated the Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad peace be Upon Him in which the Holy Prophet said "Ghubratul Madinati Shafaun"(even the dust of Medina is a quse for the sick). Hazrat Sahib (RA) said that this is the city of purification and that there would be no need for this wheelchair, whilst he was in Madinatul Munawarah. Surely enough throughout this trip Hazrat Sahib (RA) walked by him self and the wheelchair remained redundant. Once we were inside the Prophet's mosque and making our way towards prayer, when an old man with white glowing face and beard and curly long hair approached Hazrat Sahib (RA) and asked him whether he would like some almonds. Hazrat Sahib (RA) replied of course, to which the man replied what will you give me in return. Hazrat Sahib (RA) said nothing as he had nothing. The man said then I shall see you tomorrow and give you these almonds, when you will give me something in return. The next day, the same time I saw the same person approach Hazrat Sahib (RA) and asked the same question, but this time Hazrat Sahib (RA) took something out of his pocket and gave it to him, in response to which he gave Hazrat Sahib (RA) the almonds. I asked Hazrat Sahib (RA) who this person was, to which I got the reply that this man was one of the spiritual caretakers of the Prophet's Mosque, and he was offering me the accomplishment of my desires of this Dunya, in return for an introduction with the ancestral Aulia of our Silsila. I found this incident quite strange but knew very well that this wasn't simply a question of seeking and giving almonds. On the eve of the last day before leaving Madinatul Munawarah, Hazrat Sahib (RA) told me that at the time of Asr we would be making a special prayer in the Prophet's Mosque. In the usual manner I accompanied Hazrat Sahib (RA) and we sat in the first veranda of the Prophet's Mosque facing the Prophet's tomb and Hazrat Sahib (RA) raised his hands and said " Oh Allah I ask you for a few more days in this life for the accomplishment of my dream in realizing the first Islamic University in Europe and also the accomplishment of one personal matter which was to do with myself and Hazrat Sahib (RA). In fact when we came back from this trip within days I was able to locate the present premises of Hijaz college and Islamic University and within weeks I was able to finalize a negotiating price and pay the deposit for the acquisition of the said property. After our trip to Madina we went to Makkah tul Mukarramah and there again I saw many strange happenings, which I am forbidden to narrate, but in the rush of the Hajj, I saw that on one occasion in the evening, Hazrat Sahib (ra) was doing Tawaf and suddenly went towards the Kabah and stood directly underneath the Mizabe Rahmat (the guttering of the Kabah) and Hazrat Sahib (ra) embraced the Kabah and I saw that as he did that his top sheet fell off and his body was totally embracing the Kabah and I was absolutely certain that after this moment all of the wound of the oeration healed quickly. One day in August 1993 Hazrat Sahib (ra) called me to discuss the vary sensitive question of where he would be buried. I explained with great difficulty my view, on my intention to bury Hazrat Sahib (ra) in Hijaz College Islamic University. HAZRAT SAHIB (RA) then instructed me to bring in an arial photograph of the said site and said that he wanted to decide the exact place. During the course of this conversation it seemed to me that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was looking forward to meeting his creator, rather than what would be normal in that, one would be afraid of death. On another occasion Hazrat Sahib (ra) summoned me and questioned me as to what I intended to do in relation to the distribution of Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) estate. With great difficulty I explained to Hazrat Sahib (ra) what my intention was, but he instructed me to take console with my other brothers and sister, as he said that this affected their rights of inheritance as well. When I approached each one of my brothers and sister, they all stated with surprise how it was that I had suggested to them something that was already in their mind. I then reported back to Hazrat Sahib (ra) that everybody had not only agreed but were thinking of the same idea. Hazrat Sahib (ra) then raised his hand and prayed for the eternal continuance of service of Allah's way and His Prophet's mission, through his offspring. It was the intention of all the brothers and sister, that all their inheritance would be put in to a single fund and a trust would be formed by the name of Hazrat Mujadid Pir Muhammad Abdul Wahab Siddiqi Trust, which would after the satisfaction of the essential obligation of Hazrat Sahib (RA), all income and proceeds will be used for the 'Sadaqa Jariah' and other good causes for Islam and Deen. In July 1993 Hazrat Sahib (ra) attended the last Urs in the Zahir and he delivered one of the most heart breaking sermons of his life. During the course of this sermon ninety five percent of the audience were reduced to tears as Hazrat Sahib (ra) had publicly announced that this was to be his last participation in the Urs. Hazrat Sahib (ra) also announced that he would be naming his spiritual successor and he did do so and appointed the author of this book with the honour of becoming his successor and Sajada Nasheen. Hazrat Sahib (ra) also had consulted with me the night before as to who should be given Khilafat and a list was drawn up of all the people upon whose shoulders he wanted to place responsibility. In his priority list were his other children Pir Noorul Aqtab Siddiqi, Pir Zainul Aqtab Siddiqi, Pir Qamarul Aqtab Siddiqi, Pir Tauqir Ishaq and there was another extended list of other persons who we nominated as Khulafa. Approximately eight weeks before Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) demise, Hazrat Sahib (ra) narrated a dream that he had when he had just returned from hospital. He said that he saw that he was lying on a bed and was surrounded by nurses and doctors. Suddenly the Prophet S.A.W. came and sat next to him and instructed all the doctors to remove those pipes and machines and take away all the medicine. The Prophet S.A.W. said there is no need for them any more. I was hearing this dream with a very heavy heart, the conclusion of which Hazrat Sahib (ra) told me that the time for his departure had come. In early March 1994 one of Hazrat Sahibs'
(ra) class fellows by the name of Hazrat Allama Maulana Mufti Muneeruz
Zamman Chishti came to meet Hazrat Sahib (ra) with his family. At
this stage Hazrat Sahib (ra) was unable to engage in a full conversation
with him but waved to him from a distance. Mufti Saheb not wanting
to cause a lot of stress on Hazrat Sahib (ra) stood at a distance
and read Qaseedah Burdah Sharif with some other members of his family.
Two days later Hazrat Sahib (ra) appeared in the dream of Maulana
Sufi Muhammed Munir Saheb Hijazi who reported to me that Hazrat Sahib
(ra) was saying to him that the Qaseedah Burdah Sharif he had heard
the other day, gave him a lot of peace and comfort. Friday eighteenth of March 1994 was the day that nobody had been waiting for, but yet when it came it seemed as if Allah had opened up the skies to reveal all his mercies on that day. Hazrat Sahib (ra) summoned all members of his family individually by name that day. I had the particular honour of being summoned at least on seven occasions on that day. On one occasion Hazrat Sahib (ra) whilst lying on the hospital bed opened his eyes suddenly and exclaimed "Abba jiu (as if he was noticing that his father Munazire Azam (RA) had arrived. We were all shocked by this, but in our hearts we knew that such a citation is evidence of ending moments. Hazrat Sahib (ra) beckoned me on one occasion and whispered in my ear that he wanted to move from this main ward room to a private room, as he said his visitors were being troubled by the fact that other patients in the room were not clean. I understood categorically that did not mean the living buzurks but the spirits of the Aulia that were coming to see Hazrat Sahib (ra) at this last precious moment. I requested the Consultant who obliged us with this request and the nursing staff at Walsgrave Hospital moved Hazrat Sahib (ra) to a comfortable room on his own. Hazrat Sahib (ra) had been reading the Kalima for at least five hours on that day. It was not unusual to see Hazrat Sahib (ra) doing Zikr persistently but the intensity of the Zikr had increased and this was surprising to us as Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) physical strength was decreasing by the minute. At one stage an Alim came to read Surah Yasin at Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) and as he was hearing the recitation of Surah Yasin, Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) cried with tears that looked like diamonds. Hazrat Sahib (ra), by this time had become very weak and could not either sit up by himself or even lift his arm without assistance. At about eleven o clock on that Friday I was standing next to Hazrat Sahib (ra), along side at least a dozen people, when suddenly Hazrat Sahib (ra) opened his eyes as if in shock, and started gazing at the only doorway to the room. Hazrat Sahib (ra) immediately got up on his bed and moved his feet to the floor and with surprising strength got up and suddenly started making his way to the door. as if he is in a hurry to go somewhere. Thinking that this might be the angel of death and that Hazrat Sahib (ra) had attempted to walk away from the Angel of death, I let my own assumptions misunderstand the reality of what was going on. As I saw Hazrat Sahib (ra) take a few steps, I also saw that he was unable to hold himself up, and suddenly myself and Pir Noor Saheb rushed forward to support him from the right and the left. It was only as I approached Hazrat Sahib (ra) and actually supported him, by holding his arm that I realized that why he was making his way in a hurry to the doorway. As I held Hazrat Sahib (ra) I noticed that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was saying something and looking in a focused manner at the door. I closed my distance with Hazrat Sahib (ra) and I realized that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was looking at the door and at the same time reading Assalato Wassalamo Alaika Ya Aliakah Ya Rassoolalah Assalato Wasalaamo Habibulah (Salutations upon you Oh Messenger Of Allah oh beloved of Allah). I then realized that he could only be saying this as if he was making his way to the doorway, to receive the coming of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him. I then toke Hazrat Sahib (ra) with the assistance of Pir Noor Saheb and laid him back on the bed. I reported this incident to my uncle Munazire Islam Maulana Abdul Tawab Siddiqi who was also present there and he told me that the same thing had happened on the last day of the demise of Hazrat Munazire Azam (RA). There were about forty persons of the
family and the Silsila present in the room to which Hazrat Sahib (ra)
had been moved to. Suddenly Munazire Islam Maulana Abdul Tawab Saheb
announced that something was unclean in the room. We all looked round
and could not find anything but then suddenly noticed that on of the
ladies of the household left the room. As soon as she left the room,
it seemed as if the Angels of mercy came and as I had my hand underneath
the head of Hazrat Sahib (ra) at eleven minutes passed four, Hazrat
Sahib (ra) suddenly faced his head towards the Kabah and breathed
his last. At that moment it was as if life, time, place and the whole
environment had come to a stop and had it not been for the constant
development and preparation of Hazrat Sahib (ra) to his followers,
many people would have died at the same time. This was the demise
of the most precious thing in the lives of many hundreds of thousands
of people. Hazrat Sahib (ra) had passed away as if he had gone with
a guard of honor and salutes from Angels, Jinns and Aulia Allah. On Sunday twentieth of March, in the morning Hazrat Sahib (ra) was finally taken from home to the Janazah place which was to be the outdoor sport field, adjacent to the Eagle Street Mosque and then finally be laid to rest at the Jamia Islamia, Islamic University at 159 Stony Stanton Road, Coventry. As Hazrat Sahib (ra) was being picked up from home, the 'caffan' suddenly touched Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) face and fresh blood stained the 'caffan'. The whole proceedings were halted and the caffan changed, and it was then realized that the caffan had been used to wipe away previous expositions of blood, and it was as if Hazrat Sahib (ra) had halted the proceedings himself in order to move forward, with a fresh sheet over him, wanting to look his best for all to see. When the new Chadar of the caffan was placed, it seemed like he was wearing his usual chaadar that he would take over head and look his radiant self. Hazrat Sahib (ra) body was placed on a wooden bed, which was then placed on the back of the open, air truck of his mureed called Azad Saheb from Burton upon Trent. The procession then made it's way to the Janazah field and on route many thousands of Muslims and Non Muslims saw Hazrat Sahib (ra) lying on his bed and many non Muslims exclaimed as to how radiant he looked, rather then showing fear for some body passed away being displayed in this manner. Indeed they were not witnessing the body of an ordinary person but the body of a Wali Allah, who never dies. Hazrat Sahib (ra) arrived at the Janazah place and it was seen that over thirty thousand had gathered to join the Janazah of a great Saint of Islam. This Janazah was unique not only in the number of people that had attended from all over the world but also the fact that Muslims of all sects, denominations and ideologies came to pay their homage to this great leader of Islam. At the Janazah itself, which was lead by Munazire Islam Maulana Abdul Tawab Saheb Siddiqi, he announced emphatically that if any one doubts that friends of Allah die, then come and see the body of Hazrat Sahib (ra) and know and bear witness that Allah's friends never die. He announced any body who believes that the bodies of Saints perish let him come forward and witness that the bodies of true Saints never perish. After the Janazah, all those who had gathered were given a full opportunity to come and see Hazrat Sahib (ra) and pay their last respect. This process took over four hours to complete. As Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) body was picked up for the last time to be taken to the burial place, there was noticed witness the customarily sprinkle of rain which is written about in many historical documents, that such rain is noticed at the Janazah of great Saints. Hazrat Sahib (ra) was to be buried in a Taboot (coffin) which was to be of normal length and width but the height of it was to be six foot . This unusual coffin was prepared by the mureeds of Hazrat Sahib (ra) who had Wuzu at all times, when they were constructing this coffin, and it was finally prepared in the factory of the same Azad Saheb from Burton upon Trent and assisted by Haji Abdul Raheem of Holland and other close murideen. It was Hazrat Sahib (ra) Waseehat (last testimony) that he should be buried in such a coffin as he said when the Holy Prophet (SAW) would come to visit me in my grave, when I would be asked the question "what did you used to say about this person in your life" then Hazrat Sahib (ra) used to say I would stand up and I would read Salaat and Salaam on the Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and answer that he is my Master the Last Holy Prophet S.A.W. Hazrat Sahib (ra) was lowered in to this Taboot and I was already inside the Taboot with my uncle Munazire Islam Maulana Abdul Tawab Saheb to assist with the lowering of the body . When Hazrat Sahib (ra) was finally laid to rest, my uncle instructed me to leave the coffin. I begged him of my right to spend the last moment with Hazrat Sahib (RA), to which he agreed and he exited from the coffin. Everybody outside the coffin made preparations to close the lid of the coffin. At that moment I sat down inside the coffin, next to Hazrat Sahib (ra) thinking that it would be better for me to be buried with him. Everybody outside of the grave were beckoning me to exit so that they could close the lid. As I sat there for at least thirty minutes I noticed that the grave was opening and fresh air was full of musk and all sorts of wonderful aroma was passing all the way round the body. It was as if the grave is suddenly being converted into a garden. One of the reasons of my prolonged stay inside the coffin was the fact that I wanted to bear witness to the grave that turns into a part of Janat, (garden of paradise) which I had read in many books about the Friends of Allah. What was being witnessed was not the fear and the horrors of a coffin but the mercy and the blessing of Allah Almighty. Finally I exited from the coffin and Hazrat Sahib (ra) was physically with us no more. Hazrat Sahib (ra) was buried at Jamia Islamia, Islamic study Centre on the Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry. This was unusual because it was not known in English history for there to be a grave. in a terraced property. The planning authority of the local city council objected to this grave, but in the end they were compelled to accept that all proper procedures had been followed. However Hazrat Sahib (ra) was only to be buried at the Jamia Islamia site in Coventry on a temporary basis, as when possession would be taken of the main University site in Nuneaton, then it was intended that Hazrat Sahib (ra) would be re-interned to that site. The theological basis upon the re-internment was that due to Hazrat Sahib (ra) Waseehat (last testimony) of being buried at the Hijaz College Islamic University site, Hazrat Sahib (ra) was laid to rest as Amana (temporary custody) until such time as he would be re-in turned at the new University campus. Hazrat Sahib (ra) stayed at the Coventry site for approximately four years and it was on the occasion of the Urs Sharif in July1998 that final programme was made to move Hazrat Sahib (ra) to the new campus site. Again the Karamat that were witnessed were beyond belief but here the situation was not about reading and believing but seeing and believing. I remember that a few days before the announced state of transfer, many of Hazrat Sahib (ra) close murideen and Ulema had advised me not to open the grave in public but to do it in private in case something unexpected had happened in the grave. Due to the number of people advising me in this manner, I started to have doubts in my own confidence as to whether I should be opening the grave in public. The same night Hazrat Sahib (ra) came to my dream and told me off and scolded me for having those doubts and said " call who you wish so that they can bear witness that those who love Allah and His Prophet never die". The Environmental Health Office had stated their interest in the re-internment in that they wanted to be present in the opening of the grave in case they had to deal with the examination of the body if they thought that the reinterment would cause a health hazard. After the customary Zikr on the Saturday evening, I invited all participants who had gathered in their thousands, to the Jamia Islamia building to bear witness to the opening of the grave. When the grave was finally opened from one corner, all of the participants noticed the beautiful aroma that was coming from the grave. When the grave was finally opened, it was incredible to see that the wood of the coffin was in its pristine condition and the ropes that had been left in the grave outside of the coffin to assist its removal was also in its pristine condition. There was no rust on the handles that were attached to the side of the coffin, not even a cobweb or any sign of insects setting themselves on the body of the coffin. When the Taboot was finally brought out, the condition of the Taboot and the condition inside the grave was as if Hazrat Sahib (ra) had not been buried four years ago but only four days ago. The Taboot was laid out in the open for everybody to witness and to spend some more time with Hazrat Sahib (ra). The following morning Hazrat Sahib (ra) Taboot was finally picked up and then placed again on the same truck as he was transported on four years ago and with a police escort and a procession of thousands of people was transported to the new burial place in the Hijaz College Islamic University. Upon arrival at the Hijaz College, the Taboot was again laid there for all to see. Thousands of people came to embrace the Taboot and many noticed that in two corners of the Taboot two of the joints had moved yet the rest of the Taboot was in a perfect condition. The movement of these two joints exposed a hole in the front and the end of the coffin. This hole was about three millimeters high and ten millimeters wide. This meant that upon closer inspection one could see the silk lining inside the coffin, as if an invitation was being given to see that even the silk lining inside the coffin had not decayed in anyway whatsoever, but was still as fresh as it had been four years ago. This goes to show that not only is it that the bodies of Saints do not perish, but also that anything attached with it does not perish either. There was a beautiful aroma emanating from the two holes and thousands of people witnessed how it is that Allah Almighty sanctifies the bodies of His friends. Once again before he was finally buried there was noticed by thousands of people the sprinkle of rain that showered all those participants; as if Allah was showering all those gathered with the mercy from heavens, as a reward for being part of this final re-internment process. It was thus, that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was finally laid to rest in the first Mizaar (Mausoleum) of a Saint of Islam, in the fourteen hundred years of history of Islam in western world. To this day the bricks and cement from the original Mizaar from Coventry has been preserved and one cannot help but notice and give witness to the aroma that still exists in the cement from the bricks of the grave in Stoney Stanton Road. To this day Hazrat Sahib (ra) shrine is the visiting place for hundreds of thousands of Muslims and non Muslims who come there to pray to Allah Almighty, that with the intercession of his friends Aulia, and Saints of Islam to bless them and to give to them what is in their hearts and award them the bounties of this Dunya and the hereafter. Hazrat Sahib (ra) was once asked by his brother why it is that he had changed his mind from being buried next to his father in Lahore, Pakistan to being buried in England, and Hazrat Sahib (ra) replied to his brother by saying that he wanted to be in England so that from his grave he can continue the development of his children and his mureeds and all those that visited him in his Mizaar. Hazrat Sahib (ra) continues to bless those that visit him and the manifestations of his Karamat still continue to this day. Maulana Mohammed Munir narrates that when Hazrat Sahib (ra) passed away, he saw that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was wearing a necklace made of diamonds and Hazrat Sahib (ra) was being taken away to head a procession, celebrating the glory of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). He also narrates that two days after Hazrat Sahibs' (ra) burial, he saw that the roof of the Jamia Islamia on Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry, England had been taken off the building, and rain was being showered inside of the building. He understood that this meant to be the rain of 'rehmat' (blessing) which were being showered upon Hazrat Sahib (RA). The mother of Maulana Ferouz Hansildar from the Netherlands reports that after the Eidul adtha in 2001, she prayed to meet Hazrat Sahib (ra) and whilst she was reading her wazaif after fajr she felt that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was present there watching her in the company of two other awliya. Khaleefa Farouq of the Netherlands reports that after Hazrat Sahib (ra) passed away, he fell ill and then he suddenly saw Hazrat Sahib (ra) not knowing whether he was dreaming or he saw him in reality and Hazrat Sahib (ra) told him to read the 'ayatul kursi' and later on that day when he did read with in the prescribed manner he felt better. Hazrat Sahib (ra) upon his demise was given the title 'Mujadid of the 20th Century' for his qualities of leadership and his actual leading of the Muslim community, his international statesmanship, his tarbiyya of his children, his development of his murideen, his direction and progression of the whole Surinames community and many other such communities around the world, his jami-karamaat (great miracles), conversion of many hundreds of people to Islam, and personal purity and piety. Haji Abdul Raheem reports that Hazrat Sahib (ra) had passed away and he had organized the wedding of his daughter Shanaaz. There were a number of complications that were hindering the wedding, and Hazrat Sahib (ra) came to him in his dream and told him that he was not to worry about them and that he would overcome those obstacles in a successful manner. He said he continued with his business around the wedding time and in fact when those obstacles came, the answers to those problems came very quickly there after and I realized that I had the spiritual support of my Sheikh (RA). Khalifa Abdul Raheem reports that on a number of occasions he saw many people come up to Hazrat Sahib (ra) and Hazrat Sahib (ra) discussed matters with them which was not the topic of discussion and upon Hazrat Sahib (ra) raising those points all of them said that Hazrat Sahib (ra) had raised that which was in their mind and had been the answer that they were looking for a long period. On one occasion he says that he was very perturbed by the then president of Noorul Islam Mosque in Den Hague Holland and he was raising a lot of questions in his mind as he was sitting behind Hazrat Sahib (ra) in the Prophet's Mosque. Whilst Hazrat Sahib (ra) used to sit in the Prophet's Mosque no body was allowed to sit with him as their company would disturb his focus and prayers to Allah Almighty whilst in the company of Rasoolallah Sallalahu alaihi Wassalam. However on this occasion Hazrat Sahib (ra) summoned Haji Abdul Raheem sat him next to him and said Haji Saheb don't worry about the presidency of the Mosque, the said person would no longer be there after a few months and the right person would come to lead the Mosque in to a positive future. Haji Abdul Raheem also narrates that many a times when Hazrat Sahib (ra) used to be asleep and many of the companions would be in discussion about certain issues, when Hazrat Sahib (ra) would wake up he would comment on all of the discussion that had taken place over a period of hours as if he was listening to absolutely everything that was being said. When questioned how it is that Hazrat Sahib (ra) was able to overhear all of what was being said Hazrat Sahib (ra) used to reply that those people that are friends of Allah, sleep but their heart and mind does not sleep. |
On the 18th March 1994, Hazrat Sahib passed away in Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, UK.
